Some people think not - tragedies require life and abstract things to be valued and center around the choice to forego consequences for value - in the 21st century, people are more nihilistic - evolution and science makes life seem like it's of less central importance

Must admit involvement and then get others - phrase it as in the past
Example is McCarthyism - this applies to all kinds of witch hunts, not just actual witches
